Because I've become such a stinky blogger, I've decided that I will make an effort to post something at least 3 times a week. I think that is a good number for me because just look at it, 3 is such a nice round number...let's see if I can accomplish this feat!
Anyways, here are a few photos from my session with the darling Margaret Meissner. Margaret may be a tiny girl but don't let her size fool her, she has her purple belt in Kung Fu and could take you down!
We had just enough time while the sun set to capture the next photos. I think the lighting was perfect!

INTRODUCING THE AGUIRRE FAMILY
Remember that session I was freaking out about a couple of weeks ago? Well it went great! The Aguirre family was so welcoming I'd swear we were related (heck, we're Mexicans so who says we aren't?) haha! Anyways, here are a few shots from their session. We started at their house to get some cute pics of baby David Ivan and then we headed to the park for the rest!

Carlos had the following photo tattooed on his back while the family was in San Antonio a few weeks ago.
I think the finished product looks sensational!
Meet Izak, Ilian, Ruthie, David Ivan and Carlos :)
Izak was the silly one :)
Telling mom how beautiful she is!
I'll finish with this photo. Carlos, Ruthie and I had some laughs after we saw this one! Cute little monkey ;)
Thank you Ruthie and Carlos for giving me a chance and making me feel like family. I truly appreciate you!

LOVE + RESPECT YO' MOMMA! YA HEAR?!
She only wanted me to demonstrate how an angry mother and emo daughter communicated but we just meshed! For Mother's Day, we put together a skit to show the relationships between mothers and their offspring during various stages of childhood/adulthood. Yari and I (mostly Yari) like to demonstrate what we are looking for when it comes to the kids' acting. She asked me to work with Chelzi on her part and we appeared to be an actual mother-daughter duo, so I accepted the role of mother---mind you, this is only for theater, don't expect this in real life!
Here are a few shots of the skit my husband so kindly snapped for us!

THAT LITTLE THING CALLED FAILURE
I see the product of their hard work. Photographers like Jasmine Star, Jose Villa, Jessica Claire, Mallory Buck, Kayla Barker, Crash Taylor…and I become excited. Because the wheels start to turn in my head. Because I believe that one day, with hard work, I can be proud and confident of my work the way these photographers are of their own. Then these doubts begin to overshadow my dreams. I begin to think it could never be. I begin to look at what I have done so far and just fall apart….because it's not what I want it to be…because it's not good enough for me. I hate this fear of failure. I hate that I want something so badly but I am too afraid to go for it. I hate that I get all these ideas and then I just allow them to dissipate because I don't believe in myself. Why am I so afraid? The other day my 4 year old nephew asked me not to let my big puppy into the house because he was afraid of him. I told him, "Being afraid is no way to live your life. " Why can I say it to him but can't believe it for myself?

THERE'S WORK TO BE DONE
So, I started this blog a few weeks ago and I already fail as a blogger. With good reason, though. You see, we have just moved into our new home and are still trying to get settled in! Praise God! It took a while for me to get David (my husband) to set up my computer (lame excuse, I know) but now I am up and running on my coffee table!
Well, I have a family session tomorrow and I am extremely nervous and thankful. Mostly everyone I have ever photographed have been either friends or family and this is not the case with the session tomorrow. This family came to me because they saw other photos I have taken and think I'm good enough to take theirs! I don't know if that makes them crazy but it makes me crazy excited! This is just the beginning of an exciting adventure. I know these photos will come out great! Not because I'm any good but because my God is good and I am giving him full control! He even found a great location for me :) So, as soon as I get some of the photos edited, I will be posting them! Positive thoughts are welcome!
These are my 3 dogs; Lokie, Brownie (sleeping in the back), and Stig. This is the day Stig decided to spill my Scentsy warmer all over himself (notice the patch of pink wax on his leg)! He's a keeper!
