Hopefully, by now, you've learned that I love my dogs like CrAzY! I went a little wacko at Petsmart last week and bought Lokie a couple of sweaters (amongst other things). Unfortunately, Martha Stewart didn't take into consideration my weenie dog's short stature. His little front paws kept getting caught inside the sweater. My solution? Securing the sweater with a paper clip. He's so stylish ;)

THAT AWKWARD MOMENT WHEN....
While driving home for lunch today I noticed an older woman, probably mid 60's, in her Sunday best pushing a shopping cart full of groceries across the street. I pulled over and asked if she needed a ride. She kindly said, "No darling, this is how I get my exercise!" Then I, out of complete awkwardness responded, "In your heels?! YOU GO GIRL!" Seriously? I told this older lady, "You go girl?!" So embarrassing! As I drove off I replayed my words and the sound of my voice to myself and wondered what I was thinking. I do this a lot though. Speaking before I think. The other day while at the store with my friends I blurted out to this guy, "You're tall!" OMG! Give this girl a muzzle! Am I still in high school or something? I mean really, who isn't taller than me? All this to say I have one more thing to learn, THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK :)

INTRODUCING THE JORDAN FAMILY
Although little Miss Adalynn was born on Monday, I wanted to share with you all the beautiful family she was born into. Natalie, Victor and Alina met me one chilly Saturday morning for a fun session showcasing Adalynn while she was still cookin' ;) Natalie, thank you for trusting me to capture a tender moment in your family's life and I hope you enjoy the product of that trust for a lifetime. Congratulations and enjoy your beautiful baby girl!

WHAT'S ON MY DVR
To say I love my t.v. would be an understatement. If t.v. were a man I'd probably say peace out, David, I found me a man who knows how to take care of me! No, but really, I do have a slight addiction to sitting on my couch and watching a few movies and shows each week so here's what's on my DVR this past season:
Grey's Anatomy: Ever since my college roommate forced me to watch the first 5 seasons she had on DVD, I was addicted! Best medical drama ever! What did you think of tonight's episode? Insane! Tears. And lots of surprises. So thankful for the new season!
2 Broke Girls: This show is new and HAlarious with a capital HA! The name pretty much tells the premise of the show. Two newly befriended roommates on the quest to become cupcake business owners. The show is full of crude humor so if you aren't into jokes about female issues and such, you should probably steer clear!
New Girl: Who doesn't love Zooey Deschanel? She's fun and quirky and her uniqueness makes me thankful for my own strange beings/actions/habits. A fantastic new comedy!
I Hate My Teenage Daughter: There has probably only been about 3 or 4 episodes of this new show but the awkwardness of two moms trying to be their 14 year old daughters bff's has me rolling! Don't worry, this show isn't for your teenage daughter and focuses more on adult humor.
Terra Nova: I love Steven Spielberg creations and this futuristic, dinosaur drama has me wanting more! Great drama with a great story line. I'm crossing my fingers for a second season because the finale left me on the edge of my seat!
Enlightened: A story about a woman who's determined to make a difference after spending some time in rehab for her drug and alcohol problem. Her awkward encounters with former coworkers make you feel sorry for her but you can't help but keep watching. This show makes you wonder why you never asked that lonely kid in school to sit at the lunch table with you. It really has me wondering.
These are my main views and I'm looking forward to the new season of Spartacus and the new show Smash, they're bound to be hits! Let me know if there are any shows that are must sees! Like I said, I can't stay away!

3 YEARS AND COUNTING!
I lived in Lubbock, he lived in Midland and we were determined to make it work. We were doomed from the moment we shared our first kiss. We knew from that singular kiss that we'd spend our lives together.
It was a Saturday and I was at work. David drove in the night before and was waiting for me at my apartment. The restaurant was slow and my manager insisted I finish my side work and go home. It was nice the way everyone was helping me get everything done. I wasn't used to that. I text David and told him how hungry I was and asked if he could make me some mac & cheese. He agreed. I was home earlier than normal and no one was there. I went upstairs to my room looking for David but all I found was a sandwich and chips on my bed, along with a card. The card read something about my ride showing up in an hour it also said he didn't have time to make my mac & cheese. That's when I knew today was the day.
I quickly showered (I smelled like an old fridge after work), curled my hair (David likes it curly) and did my makeup. Then I waited. I have never been able to get ready and look so good so quickly since then :) I kept peeking out of the door not knowing what to expect. Then I saw it. The stretch black limo trying to maneuver itself through the tight parking lot. I walked out and the driver opened the door for me. He said,"You must be Marivelle. David told me there's a special station you like to listen to." He changed the station to Air 1 and smiled.
He drove me about 10 blocks away and stopped at a salon. He opened the door and told me this was my first stop. I walked in confused. I told the girl at the counter my name and she called Jennifer. Jennifer was the sweetest girl. She said I was getting my hair cut, colored and styled. (Yeah, after making myself look so good!) I was there for hours. We chatted on and on and she made me look great! When she was done she walked into the room with a beautiful dress and shoes. She told me to get dressed quickly because my ride was on the way. I put on the dress and she walked me out with an umbrella as the rain dribbled down.
This was a different limo and a different driver. He didn't say anything to me but I enjoyed the nice ride through Lubbock. He stopped at The Frenchman Inn and there waiting for me was my adorable boyfriend, David. He opened the door and walked me into the quaint but elegant restaurant. We ate and chatted and I told him how surprised I was by all that was unfolding. We popped open a bottle of sparkling grape juice and he handed me a card. This wasn't a store bought card either. He had handmade the card. The card had me blushing. He wrote that I was the girl of his dreams and how he couldn't imagine spending his life with anyone else but it just stopped there. I was sure tonight was the night but I guess I was wrong. We finished our meal and headed to his truck. He told me there was one more stop.
For weeks I had been bugging him to take me to see 27 Dresses and he'd absolutely refuse. While we were driving I'd ask where we were going, he said, "you'll see." We got to the drive-in and I was sure tonight wasn't the night. We pulled up to the screen and I noticed we were watching 27 Dresses! Yay! It was a chilly night so David went to the concession stand to get me a hot chocolate. I sat in the truck thankful for such a thoughtful boyfriend. He got back to the truck and asked if I had seen his phone. I looked around and when I turned back towards him, there he was with a beautiful sparkling ring in his hand. I can't remember if I even let him say the words but I wasn't waiting. I covered my mouth in shock and quickly said, "YES!" It was the happiest day of my life. We didn't even get to watch the movie but that didn't bother me one bit. I knew this day was coming but I didn't know how great it would feel.
That was 4 years ago. Today is our 3rd anniversary and I still couldn't imagine my life without my darling David. Even though I ask WAY too many questions I already know the answers to, and even though he plays his techno music too loud, we were meant to be together. He makes me whole and I thank God for the love he has given us! I love you more than anything, David. Thank you for being my Prince Charming! Here's to 3 years and counting! Happy Anniversary, Love <3

CHRISTMAS 2011!
I LOVE Christmas! It's my favorite holiday EVER! I love Christmas movies. I love Christmas music. I love Christmas decorations. I love Christ! So I LOVE Christmas! I know it's kind of late but I thought I'd share some of the fun we had during Christmas time!
Well, I was finally able to get a Christmas tree...from the dollar store! Don't hate! I was too excited to wait and put it up at the beginning of November! We finally got to hang our cute bride and groom ornament :)
We took the boys on the Polar Express! But not before almost getting hustled by a Christmas bum!
I bought the wrong shade of makeup the day before so here I am looking like an Oompa Loompa! At least my sis and Joshy are looking good ;)
If you live in West Texas then you know we got tons of snow on Christmas Eve! It was like God spilled is raspa all over us and we enjoyed every minute of it!
David has great pitching form, too bad he chose to use it on the boys' faces!
That night, we made a delicious Lasagna dinner, played the wii and enjoyed our blessings.
I even let Joshua eat his gingerbread house we made weeks ago. I would post photos of the cookies we made but those were a disaster and I'll save your eyes the agony.
It was a wonderfully perfect Christmas. Even slipping on the snow and almost falling into the water meter make for funny memories. Don't worry, only my leg fit in there. I pray your memories are just as special. :)
