KARINA: JUST BECAUSE

Karina has been one of my best friends since high school. She's sweet and smart and after you see these photos, you'll see just how beautiful she is :) Thanks for the wonderful opportunity to capture your beauty with my camera, friend! P.S. She's single and ready to mingle! LOL! Just kidding, guys! She has high standards ;) Just thought that would make her blush a little! Anyways, without further adieu, meet my friend, Karina!

MEET PRINCESS ADALYNN

You may remember the Jordan family from a session a couple of months ago. Well, shortly after that session, baby Adalynn made her wonderful presence into this world known! I was honored to meet up with Natalie and grab a few shots of the lovely little girl. She's precious in every way!

I'M READY FOR IT

I've never wanted to quit something so many times that I wanted so badly. Did that make sense?  Just to clarify, I'm referring to photography.  I want it so bad. I want to be confident enough to call myself a photographer not just a social worker who loves photography.  Throughout school, everything came so easily to me. I never had to work so hard for something before, ever. Photography has been the most difficult thing I have ever learned and am still learning.  I've been blessed to be able to surround myself with some very inspirational and educational photographers in the last month. I know, from many signs, that this is what God has for me. I'm ready for the hard work. I'm ready for the rejection. I'm ready for the learning, Because, what I'm most ready for, is the success.

David has been my biggest supporter. He sent me to Vegas mid-February to learn a few things at WPPI-U. Halfway through the second day I text David that I quit. There was too much to learn and too much to do. And I couldn't do it. A few minutes later I won a drawing for Photoshop. It may be a small prize but I take it as a sign. That I'm working toward something that is meant for me.

Jasmine Star has made me believe that my dreams are obtainable. Just from following her blog for the past year, I feel like I can relate to everything she says. She's an expert in the industry and works to educate and encourage others. She truly cares. And I now know, there are friends in the industry that I can learn from and rely on. I made a trip to Dallas this week to see Jasmine Star and meet a special group of photographers from the area.  From our discussions on Facebook, I know we are all headed for greatness. Thank you all for your genuine support.
